JayOtaku: Naruto

First post on JayOtaku tag! Yay! 


Cue cricket sound.....

Well I cannot consider myself as an Otaku because I do not have an obsessive interest with manga, anime and games. My interests are quite moderate but enough to cause me to distract me from anything I was suppose to do. Tee-hee!

As to an honor of my first post of the JayOtaku, I will be posting about my all time favorite manga:-
NARUTO

For every bold words/phrase with * symbol with them, please refer to Naruto basic 101 below. Wink!

Naruto Shippuden or just Naruto is an adventurous plus action story of a boy name Uzumaki Naruto who dreams to be a *Hokage.

Naruto parents, sacrifice themselves to install the 9-tailed-fox beast, *Kurama, into his body to save the village from the beasts rage. Unbeknownst by anybody but the highest members of the Konohagakure's governments, Naruto's father is actually the ...(spoiler. so can't tell. Tee-hee)... Naruto's mother, in the other hand, was from the  Uzumaki *clan, the only clan that able to become Kurama *Jinchuriki.

Naruto was hated, or rather, the beast inside him was despised by the villagers for its destruction on the village. However, the hatred was soon change by Naruto's carefree, optimism, courage as well as Naruto's ability to save the village from one after one destruction from multiple enemies.

Naruto is a story of love, friendship, team-spirit and family. There are some comical here and there but mostly action. Definitely not your regular childish cartoon. Both manga and anime is not really suitable for child under 12. Unless you like you 8 year old staring at some busty chick and perverted toad!

*Naruto basic 101:  
Hokage is a title of the village head of the Konohagakure or Village of the Leaf in English.

Jinchuriki is a human vessel to seal, hold or trap a powerful mystical monster. Most Jinchuriki are either feared or hated but not Jinchuriki him/herself, rather than that, it was the monster that was sealed within them.

Kurama is the 9-tailed-fox. It is currently sealed within Naruto. Only the Uzumaki clan was known to be the Junchuriki of this beast: Uzumaki Mito, Uzumaki Kushina and Uzumaki Naruto.

Clan refers to a house, a family or probably and ethnicity. Every clan have their own unique appearance and ability as well as certain role in their village. 
For example, the Uzumaki clan is known for their Fuinjutsu, a powerful sealing technique, which the Uzumakis use to seal objects, living beings, *chakra, along with a wide variety of other things within another object. They are also known for their longevity and life force, thus being the only clan to seal the powerful Kurama within them. Sealing a powerful beast, especially Kurama within an inappropriate or weak candidate can lead to death for the jinchuriki and then cause havoc if Kurama is to be released. Most Uzumaki clan are red haired. Their roles, of course, to become the candidate of the next Jinchuriki. Other than that, they can become a *shinobi to protect the village by using their fuinjutsu at times of war. Their clan's symbol is spiral, ironically, Uzumaki means whirlpool. 

Chakra is an energy force that is used even for a basic technique like walking on the water, exhaling fire or creating illusion.

Shinobi for men and kunoichi for women are both refer to ninja.

Pray for Lahad Datu

Ahh~ the internet at the office is finally going a little itsy bitsy better than yesterday! Not that I don't have internet at home, but I try to minimize using electricity for the better tomorrow and I need much rest for the next day. 

I will try to post the DIET 101 today. I have been extremely busy at work as well.

Talk about busy, the Sabahans are getting busy creating speculations and rumors regarding of the invasion of Royal Sulu Army. Even the government was thrown into the conspiracy theory spawned by some unknown individuals. 

I have stopped follow up with the news over Youtube as it is hurtful to see those brainless comments about how Malaysians are this, Sabahans are that, Filipinos like this this and how Sabah is dot dot dot. These people talks like they knew better regarding the situation; like they can deal them easily. Tough luck, it is easier said than done. 

I don't really know the specific history of my homeland, but I know that some northern part of Sabah was given to the Sultan Sulu by the Brunei's royal for their help. Then came British Company who colonize us Sabah for years, after dealing some paper works and some currency as rent for those parts that were belong to the Sultan Sulu. After the WWII and all, Sabah eventually joined with Sarawak, Singapore and Malaya to form Malaysia despite the disagreement of the Sultan Sulu and Indonesian President at the time. 

And since around 10 am, my facebook page had been full with statuses to pray for Lahad Datu as shootings had occurs. Though I had been supportive of whatever the leaders of my country decisions regarding to the safety of my homeland, however, violence is not one I would ever voice out of. 

I understand that the arm security forces who are fighting for us right now have to choice but to act violent toward the invaders. I cannot see what happens at Lahad Datu at the moment, so I pray so there are no innocent life will be taken in the incident. I pray that the worst will never come. 

It is still a wonder how the a hundred of invaders are able to sneak into our motherland overnight, completed with arms. But I doubt our security forces are slacking of on their job. 

For those who are spewing negative remarks on our security forces, I beg of you to stop. They have their loved ones to protect, so why would they be risking their loved ones and their own lives just to the fun of it? 

For those who are throwing hate words on the Philippines, don't let one rotten apple in a case be the cause of reason why the whole carton was thrown away. You have been saying that Sabah has no racist while you kept chanting and calling them 'Pilak'. Life make these immigrant become in survival mode and do bad things just to survive. I'm not defending them, but understands the circumstances and knowing not all of the immigrant are as rotten as you think they are.

For those who have been pointing fingers to the government, you can keep pointing your finger. But what good would it do? Why not join politics, be in the office and run the country. I doubt you can manage thousands of ill wishes thrown to you.

For those who are making jokes out of this situation, think hard with all of your F brain cells for all F sake. I appreciates your sense of humor, but now is not really the appropriate time for some.

For those who been saying rubbish about Malaysia, silence is not stupidity. If you don't know, try to understand instead of accusing. If you think that letting the Sulu get back the 'right' of 'their land', why can't you think that we have the right to choose? Talk about democracy this and that, what will become of our voice? Our right? We, the Sabahan who actually born and live here?

For short, speak less of evil things will not harm anyone while negativity will. 

Pray for Lahad Datu. Pray that life will not be taken. Pray for peace. Pray for our people. Pray for our troupes  Pray for our enemies. Pray for the goodness in humanity.

7. Raw-food Diet
Or Raw foodism is not something that is unfamiliar in within Sabahan community. Raw ulam, bosou, nonsom, cencaluk, hinava, etc. They might be the same dish with different name, but it sound oh-so-delicious! For those who aren't familiar with Sabahan traditional raw-food, there are western recipes for this diet.
The reason why this diet exist is that some people believe that uncooked foods are supposedly much healthier choice for the body. Take example of the broccoli that contains sulforaphane, a cancer fighting compound, can be greatly reduce when cooked. While cooking is unnecessary, heating it okay when it comes to this diet as long as the temperature does not go beyond 118 degrees Fahrenheit.
It is also claimed that raw food naturally contains enzymes that helps our digestive system to digest food and absorb nutrients.
Most people who follow raw foods are vegan. But some animal products like raw milk, raw milk cheese, shashimi, etc can be added in the menu. One must also be caution of foods that cannot be eaten raw such as mushroom, peas, cassava, potatoes, etc.

8. More/Extra/Frequent Meal Diet
This diet has 2 rules: One, to eat 5 to 6 meals a day; and two, take small portion of foods on each meal. Most dietitian and nutritionist will recommend this diet to most people. It was said to be the most effective method to loose weight and I have seen people who succeed.
This dieting method helps to regulate blood sugar, control craving and suppress hunger. It has also been said that this method can boost up you metabolism and helps burn calories.
However, one could over-eating if they have no proper knowledge on how to calculate daily nutrition intake for example calorie counting. Most adult needs 1500 to 2000 calorie. If one consume less, it will result hunger and caused us to eat more; If over-consume, ... well everyone knows what become of energy if it is not burn, right? It will be stored as FAT!

9. Junkfood Diet
I don't know if anyone had ever succeed from this diet but hearing it does not sits well with me. I know junkfood taste good and that is the reason why it is not good for anyone. Most junkfood are sugary or salty, fatty, full of artificial coloring and flavoring, no good nutrition, etc.
Junkfood does not only cover those tidbit snacks you are having in your drawer, they includes Cokes and sodas, processed foods, can food, CAKES, fastfoods, etc.
If you are able to loose weight with junkfood, hands down, I will worship your awesomeness for the rest my life. But still, this is not a good deiting method. Unless you call those unsalted, non-fatty and au-naturale crackers as junkfood, then you're good to go.

DIET 101 - PART V : Apple Diet and Liquid Diet

5. Apple Diet

This is one of the most simple and healthy diet method one can use. Not necessarily for us in Malaysia, but trust my wallet, it is worth the investment comparing to the medical fee you'll be getting in the future. Consumer can use full red, full green or half red apples in this diet.

The only rule of this diet plan is to eat an apple before each meal. Apple contains fiber which will be enough to make you quarter-full before your meal while it sweetness satisfy your cravings. Therefore, you will eat lot less on your meal after having an apple.

This diet also helps to have better bowel movement. I have read a review about this diet on some forums on the internet, people have lost 3 to 5 kilograms within two weeks.

Some people needs 2 apples in order to feel half or quarter-full before their meal. However, it is not recommended to make juice unless you use a blender and did not adding any additional additive like sugar.

Can be used as a permanent daily diet.

6. Liquid Diet

This is supposedly a diet for patient who have gastrointestinal illness, before or after certain types of surgery involving the mouth or gastrointestinal tract.

There a two kind of method in this diet. Clear liquid diet and full liquid diet. Both diet do not have solid food in its menu. click WIKIPEDIA to read full description for both method.

This diet can be used as permanent or temporary diet. However, consumer must be very knowledgeable to measure the daily nutrition to practice this diet because it is harder to resist the temptation of drinking than eating. What I meant was, with solid food, consumer will feel fuller rather than liquid food. When consumer "drink" their food, they do not feel satisfy. Also, you don't want to put too much additional additive as well.

Consumer needs high discipline if one would like to try this diet. And I don't think there would be many people would stand getting liquid food for the rest of their live, right? Vampire are not people, btw.

3. Sugar-free Diet

This diet does not mean you cannot eat anything at all. People find this diet the hardest diet because every food in this world need sugar and additional flavor. It is not hard at all especially if you follow the basic rule of sugar-free diet.

i. Lessen the amount of your sugar intake little by little in your meal and drinks until you completely felt okay without having it in your food.
ii. Cook at home. With self-made foods, you can control your sugar intake in foods.
iii. Avoid processed foods, frozen for heat foods, instant and junk foods. You can't imagine what made them so addictive.

I found Malaysians FnB use a lot of sugar for cooking. Satay for instance use sugar syrup to make it looks oh-so-glistening on the smoking grill. You may use honey for your self-made satay, but believe me, those satay that were sold at the road side stalls use sugar syrup to cut cost.

Drink plain water instead of teh tarik or air bandung. Cooked plain water is not only good to cool of your body, it also helps to flush down all those excessive cholesterol, glucose and salt out of your system.

Get glucose to you system by consuming natural source like apples and berries. I know that apples are expensive, but they are good investment.

4. Flat Belly Diet


This is a diet where you only consume 1,600 calorie per day and emphasize foods that have Monosaturated Fatty Acids (MUFAs). I don't really make a lot of research on this diet so I don't understand how it works. But apparently  it is a diet that can help to shed 15 pounds by loosing the belly fat within 32days without physical and painful exercise. Though this is an interesting diet, I am convince that this is not a permanent diet.

Some New Tags Coming Soon!

I consider myself as a tomboy. I like short hair and boy's toys as well as games, anime and manga. Don't get me wrong, I love barbies, plush toys and play cooking as a kid, even though I don't cook at all as an adult. However, according to my mother, cars, gadgets, electronics, games, anime, manga and action movies are for boys. Us girls must watch chick-flicks, play housewife and barbies, wear frilly clothes and all girls stuffs.

I can't help it, you know?

I read manga most of my past time. No matter when I am not busy in the office or at home.

I also have my love on Otome games. 25 and playing games? But hey! Otome games are special. They are games targeted for women who adore fantasy romance. My romance life is quite boring..... Did you read this, honey? Haha! It was not just a joke... *scratching my head*

Anywaaaayyyyy......... I try to juggle my personal, work and leisure life. But this is what life is. No times to complain! LoL!

So for the love of my favorite past times, I will be making posts with the 'JayOtaku' tag about manga, anime and Otome games. I will also me making a Otaku Glosary as a guidelines... just to make my blog a bit livelier.. ekekeke

2. Lo-Carb Diet or Hi-Protein Diet

Though this is a good diet. However, is not a long-term diet. This is one of those popularized diet that considered as a crash course diet. This dieting method limits your carbohydrates consumption like starchy vegetables, grains, fruits, milk, nut and seeds.

This diet is said to help to prevent some health risk such as heart diseases, cancers, diabetes and etc.

Carb is the main energy source of the body and by avoiding carb, the body will use protein as its main energy source. Also, the low-carb theory is that if you decrease carb consumption, you reduce or lower the the body's insulin level. Insulin is use to turn simple sugar or glucose into fat for later usage. So by reducing insulin level, stored fat in the body will be forced to use.This will help to lose fat which cause weight loss.

However, this type of diet might not suitable for people with diabetes as this diet will cause sugar level in the blood increase because lack of insulin. because it will caused high sugar level in the blood stream and fatal to the patients. It is advised to see the doctor for medical check up before practicing the diet.

It is not easy to combine vegetarianism with lo-carb diets because most grains, beans, sweets, pasta, starchy veggies and some nuts and seeds  contains carbs.

A low-carb diet generally excludes or limits most grains, beans, fruits, breads, sweets, pastas and starchy vegetables, and sometimes nuts and seeds. Some low-carb diet plans allow certain fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

Rebate On Offered 3G Smartphones

The rebate of RM200 provided by SKMM or MCMC (Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia - Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission) for Malaysian youth has taken criticism as well as optimism by the general public since December last year.

I was one of the few people who had been waiting for it with optimism because I just cannot understand why people are fussing on the matter. Well, I was dumb. I didn't know why people was criticizing the Government about "only selected 3G phones are to be used with the rebate". It was only the new announcement regarding changing from "only selected 3G phones" to "all 3G phones" then I got upset and de-upset. 

Jayvie was not born stupid, just a bit of outdated with news. Silly Jayvie... 

Long story short lah kan, I HAVE GOT MY IPHONE 5! Weeeeeeee~~

It is all thanks to Maxis Malaysia that provide wider selection of 3G phones for the rebate compare to other telecommunication companies as well as the Malaysian government. If possible, I really do hope that the Malaysian government to give higher rate for the rebate like RM500 lah at least instead of RM200 is not that much of a difference. But still nice la as I got extra RM200 to buy my new IP5 some accessories. I know I am being like "Sudah diberi betis, nak paha pulak", but hey! Everybody likes discount and rebate kan? It doesn't matter if it is reasonable or not, as long as can save money, people are down to it!

The funny thing is, when I went to Maxis centre at I-dont-want-to-mention-haha, I was:- 
-with Lobo, 
-wearing my simple-but-quite-cincai-looking work clothes while Lobo with his stinky and sweaty work clothes,
-a huge cheap looking bag and slightly off colored Ipanema rubber slipper - salipar jipun,
-no makeup so I think I look fugly as hell at the time,
-Lobo hair was not gelled and wearing his dried muddy work shoes,
-for short, we look extremely off of the environment.

Nobody seems to aware of us and nobody even care to entertain us. Honestly, who will care to entertain selekeh-looking people like us? 
But I know I would, just because I work in retail industry before and experienced that customer who look the least presentable, not smelly and dirty looking beggar, are the people who have more cash the one who look presentable. Enough with my self-knowing righteous theory....

When Lobo approach this one guy to ask about the PKB (Pakej Komunikasi Belia - Youth Comunication Package), he looked and sounds un-interested and kind of talking according to script, saying they only have have IP5 currently and some bits and pieces that not worth mentioning here. As Lobo have small talks to me regarding the phone, the man suddenly vanished out of thin air. We thought that he went to the toilet or whatever he is doing behind the opened door beyond the counter. But he never came back. We got fed up and approach another un-interested looking saleslady and not surprisingly, she repeats the same thing the first salesman said. I have to say and mention it again and again that I want that (fricking) IP5 to her, then she calls her colleague.

The un-interested looking saleslady's colleague, turns out to be a relative of mine (didn't know it till he mentioned which side is he related to me with). As he taken the IP5, then the first salesman came out looking dejected. Why? Hmm.. geeee... I don't know. Probably he missed out an opportunity to get a commission? 

Therefore, dear juniors who are currently working in the service and retail industries, every person who steps into the business' door is a customer. BUT, you will never know who will be the one who will spend their money to contribute some of their cash on your pay-checks at the end of the month.  Ho Ho Hoooo~

To get your RM200 rebate, your must make sure that you are eligible according to these requirements:- i. Malaysian citizens aged between 21-30 years at the time of application;
ii. Monthly income is RM3, 000 and below;
iii. 3G smart phone models on offer;
iv. For new and existing subscription broadband package, and
v. A phone is only for one youth;

Then, go to https://komunikasibelia.skmm.gov.my/ and select the two options whether you are a student or an employed youth.

OR, you can click here https://komunikasibelia.skmm.gov.my/Public/DaftarPekerja for employed youth and here https://komunikasibelia.skmm.gov.my/Public/DaftarPelajar if you are a student.

BE REMINDED that you have to print the application slip that will come out after you have done registering. Or screen shot for later printing.

Then you can go to any telecommunication providers' center to buy your dream phone with the rebate.
You have options to choose whether you want to get the phone with prepaid or postpaid plan. I have chosen prepaid plan because it is contract-free and hassle-free.

I recommend you to get Maxis or Umobile because both have more selection of 3G phones with prepaid plain compared to the others that only provided one or two. However, this is just personal preference lah. If you would like to get the phones with postpaid plan would be nice as well.

IP5 is certainly a nice phone to touch. But I am still unable to figure how to use it yet. I need some IPhone or IP5 tips here.....

1. Vegetarian Diet

There are three types of vegetarian diet.
i. vegan diet, no meat and all animal product like eggs and milk.
ii. lacto-vegetarian diet, which include all plants food with dairy product.
iii. lacto-ovo vegetarian diet, which include all plants food, dairy product and eggs.
- This is a great diet plan and one can use for long-term. However, because there are lack of meat in this diet especially the vegan diet, consumers are advise to focus on protein, iron, calcium, zinc and Vit B12.

Some people found that it is hard to turn to practice vegetarianism just because they cannot live without meat. You can, actually!

Find and experiment with many vegetables to choose which kind you can tolerant with and cook with all styles of cooking.

My favorite plants food are vegetable ferns or Sayur Paku-Pakis we called it here, vegetable red ferns or Lomiding/Lombiding/Sayur Paku Merah, baby Kailan, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet leaf or Pucuk Sayur Manis and tapioca young leaves.

Seems a lot but I did not start liking them since a young age. I extremely DISLIKE them except for long beans, part of lagume family vegetables. I don't remember when I started to like eating long beans and then experimenting other vegetables throughout my growing up period. And I am blessed with a mother who can cook well with vegetables. She used garlic and oyster sauce to make the vegetables cook with delicious aroma! Nobody can beat everyone's mom's cooking!

This is a great and long-term healthy diet. Just need to make sure that you follow the basic needs of daily nutrition needs. Also, don't forget to be moderate with the oil and flavoring while cooking meal with your food!

DIET 101 - PART IV : Healthy Diet Vs Skipping Meal

In this post, I will explain the differences between HEALTHY DIET and SKIPPING-MEAL-DIET as well how each can affect your daily routine.

People often get confuse with DIET and SKIPPING MEAL are the same. In actuality, they are not!

In my opinion, skipping meal is when you do not or refuse to eat on one or two of your daily meal – breakfast, lunch and dinner. DIET, in the other hand, is your eating and nutrition habit.

Never, I repeat, NEVER attempt to skip your meal. Sure you can skip evening tea and supper, but never skip your breakfast, lunch and dinner.

When you skip your meal, you felt that your energy will drain faster and fatigue is inevitable. Not to forget gastric problem may arise by doing so. Thus, when you skip your breakfast for instance, you will tend to eat more on your lunch. This is not only ineffective dieting method; it will affect the performance of whatever you do in the morning, which is the high time of when your body is active to perform tasks.  

There are also some people who instead of having proper meal, they drink sweet or energy drinks. While energy drinks might contain necessary nutrition to fuel energy, replacing meal to sweet drinks are not generally good. While glucose may contribute energy for neuron activity, physical or muscle activity cannot get enough energy through sweets stuff.

Healthy diet is when you properly choose you food according the nutrition pyramids or control the intake of some nutrition compound that could affect other nutrition compound for the purpose of losing weight or maintaining healthy lifestyle.  

A healthy diet will not affect much of your daily routine and will provide better energy for you to work with at the same time

There is a lot of dieting method that you can find over the internet or through friends. That includes:-

  3. Lo-Carb Diet
  4. Hi-Protein Diet
  5. Flat Belly Diet
  6. The Apple Diet
  7. The Liquid Diet

Making a list, checking it twice.... 
New Year resolutions, praying all will go smooth...

Those are a bunch of bull... 

I'm not saying praying is not good. Praying are all empty words you speak to God if you do nothing to make it happens. Isn't that equals to lying to God? SHAME ON YOU!

When I thinking of losing weight early 2012, I was thinking of going to Tun Fuad Stephen Park to jog 1 or 2 rounds before joining the free TaiChi, Yoga or aerobic group. Since I don't have my own car, the downside of working as contract employee, and The Lobo refuse to get his cute butt to go a long with me every day, I started training with The Lobo's gym set. 

But they hurt like hell and I am not really athletic type so things just stop.

I try to control eating by skipping on of my meal. THAT MAKES ME EVEN HUNGRIER!!

Teasing by people I know, make me eat more, and free lunch at the office, because of meetings, does not help much of my stubborn fat to melt away.

I decided to research and make plans. 

I look for information through the internet and discussions with doctors as well as friends. And I compile all the information that I have and pick with method I think I can use. 

The simplest or should I say, the easiest method I think I can manage to pull out is DIETING.

But there are many many types of dieting method as well.

There are the no-sugar diet, no-carb diet, raw foods diet, power smoothies diet, etc. So much to choose! 

Then I have an idea!

Since one of the information I had gathered had said, by a dietitian/nutritionist, that one can make his/er healthy dieting method that suitable for his/er lifestyle, I decided to make my own. It was not perfect but basically PERFECT for me!

One must remember that every diet have a lot of protein for daily energy and not avoiding the fat and sugar completely. Just reduce it to the minimum is fine.

Soooo..... what did I do in my dieting method? Wait for my post next week kio!

-       Urinary incontinence is an involuntary leakage of urine. Means the person has an inability to hold his/her urine.

-    Chronic renal failure or chronic kidney disease is a progressive loss in renal function over a period of months or years.

-      Hypogonadism is a condition where the gonads (testes & ovaries) had diminished its functional activity.

-       Buried penis is a condition like it is named. I don’t really understand this medical condition because I don’t even own a penis. It is misleading for me to say any further about things that I don’t truly understand. And I felt awkward..... but all I know is that, the condition will cause patient to have obstruction of urinary stream, hygene problem which leads to infections and other medical problem.

I had asthma in my childhood years. And as I grew, it seems that I had grew out of it. WRROOOONNG! Patient can never grew out of asthma. It just "sleep" itself away waiting for some kind of trigger so it can have a grand come back. One that I need not!


Pulmonology
(dealing with the respitory system - sistem pernafasan)
-        Sleep apnea is a condition where some people had; when they sleep, they may stop breathing for a short period. It can last for 10 seconds or more. Obstructive sleep apnea, OSA, is the most common category of sleep-disordered breathing.
(Apnea tidur adalah gangguan tidur dimana sesorang itu mengalami kesulitan bernafas ketika tidur. Pesakit akan berhenti bernafas seketika, dalam masa 10 saat atau lebih. Apnea tidur obstruktif adalah salah satu kategori gangguan kesulitan bernafas ketika tidur yg paling biasa berlaku.)
-        Obesity hypoventilation syndrome or Pickwickian syndrome, is a condition when overlyweight people fail to breathe rapidly enough or deeply enough (short breath?). Many whom have this condition will face OSA as well. The disease will put strains on the heart which eventually will lead symptoms of heart failure. Most effective treatment is weight loss.
(Juga dikenali sebagai Sindrom Picwickian adalah satu kondisi dimana seseorg yg mengalami masalah kegemukkan melampau tidak mampu bernafas secara konsisten atau masalah pendek nafas. Pesakit yg mengalami masalah ini juga akan mengalami masalah OSA. Penyakit ini akan memberi/meletakkan tekanan terhadap jantung si pesakit dan kemudiannya akan membawa tanda2/simptom penyakit jantung. Rawatan terbaik untuk masalah ini adalah mengurangkan berat badan.)
-        Most people may already know what Asthma is. It is a condition where one have trouble breathing when the lungs and throat are constantly irritated, puffy and swollen.
(Asma atau ampus, kesukaran bernafas yg diakibatkan paru2 dan kerongkong kembang/bengkak.)
-        Increased complications during general anaesthesia. Probably breathing problem during unconcious under general anaesthesia.
(mengalami masalah penafasan semasa diberi suntikan bius terutamanya bius tidur.)

I did have breathing problem when I was 90-95kg especially when I want to go to bed. May be my asthma is trying to make its grand come back or may be it was just my weight. But I am finally glad that problem have gone now. WINK!

I have few relatives that are currently facing, survived and died because of tumors and cancers. I was quite ignorant and have a careless attitude about tumors and cancers before. However, went I was able to see first-hand how a cancer victim facing her days and trying to cope daily routine with bright hope to survive but passed on in the end, I become scared of myself. Chemotherapy does not sound as simple as it sound. 

Hair loss, puking several time a day, no appetite and have to be IV-ed to replenished the body with nutrients, etc. I certainly don't want to see another of such scene, much less experience such trauma.


Oncology
(dealing with tumor & cancer - berkaitan dgn ketumbuhan & kanser)
-        Breast cancer can be caused by obesity, high fat diet, alcohol intake and iodine deficiency. Ovarian cancer can be caused by hormonal problem when it is related to obesity.
(Kanser payu dara boleh disbbkn oleh kegemukkan yg melampau, pemakanan lemak tinggi, pengambilan alkohol dan kekurangan iodin. Kanser ovari pula boleh disbbkan masalah hormon jika dikaitkan dgn masalah kegemukkan melampau.)
-        Esophageal cancer can be caused by GERD on obese people. Colorectal cancer or colon/bowel cancer (somewhere in large intestine) caused by high intake of fat, alcohol or red meat, obesity, smoking and lack of physical exercise.
(Kanser kerongkong dalam masalah obesiti adalah dtg dari masalah penyakit GERD yg juga disbbkn hakisan/kerosakan membran mukosa ketika menghidap masalah GERD. Kanser korektum atau barah kolon, trjd d usus besar, adalah disbbkn pengambilan/pemakanan lemak tinggi, alkohol atau daing merah, obesiti, merokok dan kurang senaman fizikal.)
-        Hepatocellular carcinoma, HCC, or Malignant Hepatoma is the most common type of liver cancer. The cause of HCC are Alcoholism, Hepatitis B & C, Aflatoxin, Cirrhosis of the liver, Hemochromatosis, Wilson’s disease and Type 2 Diabetes which aided by obesity. Pancreatic cancer  is cancer that affecting the pancreas. It has poor prognosis or sign to indicate that there are cancer on the pancreas. Less than 5% of patients surviving beyond 5 years after diagnosed. Apart from smoking & family history, few of the risk factors are obesity, low vegetables & fruits diets, sugar-sweetend drinks & high red meat diets and others.
(Hepatocellular carcinoma, HCC, or Malignant Hepatoma adalah salah satu kanser hati yg biasa terjadi. Secara lazimnya, kanser ini terbentuk disebabkan pengambilan alkohol yg melampau, Hepatitis B&C, Aflatoksin, Sirosis hati, Hemochromatosis, Wilson penyakit dan Diabetes Jenis 2 yang dibantu oleh obesiti. Prognosis atau kesan2 yg menunjukkan kehadiran kanser pankreas adalah lemah dan kurang meyakinkan. Ini menyebabkan kurang daripada 5% pengidap kanser tersebut mempunyai jangka hayat lebih dari 5 tahun selapas disahkan pengidap kanser pankreas. Selain daripada sejarah kesihatan keluarga dan amalan merokok, terdapat beberapa faktor2 lain yg meningkatkan risiko sesorg itu utk menjadi pengidap kanser pankreas. Faktor2 tersebut adalah seperti obesiti, rendah kandungan sayur-sayuran & buah-buahan dalam diet seharian, tinggi kandungan gula dalam minuman & daging merah dalam diet seharian dan lain-lain. )
-        Gallbladder cancer is not a common cancer but incidence of the cancer had certainly become alarmingly increased mainly in China. Women are twice more prone to get the cancer than men. Stomach cancer causes about 800k death WORLDWIDE per year. It could develop from any part of the stomach.
(Kanser pundi hempedu bukanlah kanser yg biasa terjadi. Namun begitu, kes2 kanser tersebut telah dilaporkan meningkat terutamanya di negara China. Kaum wanita berisiko tinggi untuk mendapatkan kanser tersebut berbanding dengan kaum lelaki. Kanser perut menyebabkan lebih kurang 800 ribu kematian di SELURUH DUNIA setiap tahun. Ia boleh terjadi dimana-mana kawasan perut.)
-        Endometrial cancer involved on the endometium, the inner membrane or the lining of the uterus. Cervical cancer is cancer of the cervix, the entrance of the uterus/womb, or cervical area.
(Endometrium adalah lapisan atau selaput dinding rahim yg menjadi tempat ovum, yg telah disenyawakan, menempel. Tetapi, kanser endometrium adalah ketumbuhan dimana lapisan tersebut tumbuh dikawasan luar rahim seperti tiub falopio,ovari atau saluran menuju ke vagina. Kanser serviks atau barah pangkal rahim adalah merupakan barah yg ke-2 tertinggi kejadiannya di kalangan wanita Malaysia. Biasanya terjadi pada kawasan serviks atau pangkal/laluan masuk ke kawasan rahim/uterus. )
-        Prostate cancer develop in the prostate, a gland in the male reproductive system. Kidney cancer or Renal cell carcinoma, RCC, is curable if found early. However, the prognosis or sign that indicates the cancer is poor and not easily found.
(Kanser prostat terjadi pada prostat, satu kalenjar pada sistem pembiakan lelaki. Kaser ginjal atau Hipernefroma boleh diubati jika dikesan awal. Tetapi, prognosis atau tanda2 yg menunjukkan kehadiran kanser tersebut adalah lemah dan tidak begitu tepat. Maka, kanser tersebut adalah sukar dikesan awal.)
-        Non-hodgkin’s lymphomas, NHLs, are a diverse group of blood cancer that include any kind of lymphoma except Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Note: Lymphoma occurs when lymphocytes, a type of white blood cells begin behaving abnormally. They may devide faster or live longer than they are suppose to. Multiple myeloma which also known as Plasma cell myeloma or Kahler’s disease, is cancer of plasma cells. Plasma cells is a type of white blood cell that responsible for producing antibodies.
(Limfoma bukan Hodgkin atau NHL adalah kumpulan pelbagai kanser darah yg membabitkan beberapa jenis limfoma kecuali limfoma Hodgkin. Nota: Limfoma terjadi apabila limfosite, sejenis sel darah putih bertindak tidak normal. Limfosit tersebut bertindak sama ada membiak/membahagi dgn cepat atau jangka hayat yg lebih lama daripada limfosit biasa.)



Since a close relative passed, I have asked 2 doctors about cancer to educate myself on the subject. Both doctors had explained to me with different kind of words and ultimately made me understand that;-

One, each and every of all healthy people has equal risks of getting cancer. Genetics or family medical history may enhance the risks of one to get cancer. 

Two, all cancer begins with cells. This explains why every of all healthy people has equal risks of getting cancer.

Three, there must have trigger for cells to turn into cancer cells. It could be DNA mutation on cells occurred and made cells become damage, they do not die, instead forms tumor; It could also effected by external source like products that contain carcinogens agent such as parabens (found in most beauty products in form of butylparaben, methylparaben, ethylparaben & propylparaben. jeng jeng jeng....), formaldehyde (mostly in beauty and cleaning products), asbestos (asbestos ceilings are often used in home and office)... However, contacting with these carcinogens properties are inevitable but minimize of usage is advice.

First Post for the New Year!

Even a thousand apologies cannot be accepted! I have abandoned this blog for 3 weeks! 

I even forgotten to schedule my 3 weeks worth of DIET 101 drafts! How clumsy I can be?! I will post all the 3 weeks of those drafts, including this week's on this Friday. 

The truth is, I have absolutely busy with works and personal life. Turns out, it is definitely not easy updating blog regularly, huh? Or is it just my bad habit of doing thing half-hearted-ly? tsk! tsk! tsk!

I hope that it is still not too late for me to wish each and everyone of you, a Happy Christmas and a blessed New Year! Yes, I changed the wishing style a bit. I felt like wishing 'Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year' is so over used already. Why not changed a bit? Ah! And we were counting the Lunar New Year! 10th and 11th February! 

Those who were unable to celebrate the Gregorian Calender's New Year because of what-ever-reason-there-might-be, you can always celebrate the Lunar New Year! I always have 1 resolutions for each new year and it is the same for this year. My first resolution for the Gregorian Calender's New Year is that I want to keep working hard to keep fit so that I got on the normal BMI measurement scale! I haven't went on the scale since before Christmas. I got a bit of a scare to see if I gain weight after so much eating and drinking. YIKES!

Anyway, let us give all the best wishes to my brother, Jenson who is celebrating his 31st birthday today. Oh! Which is also my baby niece 1st birthday, dear An-an! 

Apa lagi? Oh! Since Lobo had upgraded his phone from S2 to Note2, he (kinda) lend me his S2. My SE W995 was broken, but fixed, but he still insisted that I use his S2. Sooo.... I got upgraded also lah bah! 

Oh! Wishing Happy Newlyweds to my cuzzy Clarence and his wife for their recent New Year wedding. Also my nephew and his wife who got married on the beautiful date, 12 Dec 2012. As well as my niece and her husband who have their divine wedding reception last month! Jangan tanya saya "kau bila".... I will literally do the 'McKayla is not impress' face in front of this almighty computer screen. :ROFL:

Ah! I got such bad luck over the bridge of New Year. Sudah lah mata ni berkotut, then I got bitten by a nursing dog! Hey, chilllll~ It does not hurt one bit, 'kay... Seriously! But the injection I got at the hospital hurt like hell-will-burst-it's-flame! I am not a fan of injection but this one hurt baadddd~ Well not as bad as the second shot of Hepatitis vaccine I got back in 2003. That one almost make me faint, like for real! This recent shot I got... I don't even know what its called, but I think it is the one to prevent us, human, from getting rabies after getting animal bites? It made the injected area felt painful every time I used the injected arm for five days. It gradually ceased off any pain eventually. 

I did heard, but not directly to me, that the dog should be shot and killed for biting me as I was the third person it bitten. That scares the hell out of me. The dog did no harm but trying to protect its pup. I was the one to blame for forgetting that it is nursing and easily agitated. I might sound bit loony here, but I rather let my cousin keep the dog because it will come in handy if, knock wood, burglar come to any of our house. No worry though, no animal was harmed in this whole chaotic story. 

About my STYE or kotut in Sabahan slang, it got pretty worst last night. Yeah, my stye had been staying so loyaly on my left eye from 29 December till today! What a welcoming health! NOT! It did reduced three times it size compare to last night though. 2 of its pus had discharged itself, without me helping myself to compress them. After realizing the pus had discharged themselves, I quickly sanitize my hands, grab a magnifying mirror, cotton pads and torch. Then, I lightly lightly liiiiiiiiightly pressed on the tender area. It is disgusting to do especially when the pus is on the eye. But I just can't help be fascinated how the pus are flowing out with such light pressure. 

Oh~ I can finally wear my old sweater~~ which mean, I am definitely going on the right track toward my old body. I should try one of my old Cheetah polos. They are Medium size, if I could wear them comfortably, that means I am definitely gain back my old normal size! Huahuahuahuahua! WHO THE FRICKING FISH SAID DIETING WON'T HELP PEOPLE TO GET SKINNY! Don't you dare to say "I got lucky!" because luck only contribute 1% of the success I have today. I am lucky that I got the head-strong gene in my DNA.
