About the Owner & the Blog

Err... how to do this thing again? Never mind, I'll just ramble some shizz here and there.

For starter, this is my personal blog and I am a Jesselton baby. <<- trying to be cute, eh?
So, Jesselton is the former name of my home town, the ever so lovely, Kota Kinabalu. Been living here all my life and loving it. Sure I don't like the peak-hour traffic, the political problems we are having around Malaysia and the humid weather; but I love Jesselton as much as anyone would love their hometown. So I am a self-confess Jesselton native. I say self-confess because I don't know how many generations you need to live in Jesselton to be called a Jesselton native.

My dad is a Hainanese-Chinese from Labuan and mom is Kadazan-Dusun from Papar. Together they had 3 boys, who are not worth my blog space mentioning, and one princess - me!

Born as an Earth element Dragon and an Aries western zodiac, I am all that you've read in the astrology books, articles or publication on Dragon and Aries zodiac's personalities should have. And being a Dragon born Aries, I am glad to say I have always been bless by the lucky star. I do have some unfortunate event happened throughout my life, but I am thankful that nothing major had ever happened so far - wish they will never happen as well.

I am fluent in Mandarin - because I use the language to communicate with my dad; Bahasa Malaysia  with Sabahan slang of course; English - it was my favorite subject in school?; and broken Kadazan-Dusun in Papar slang - because Paparians' Kadazan language is a bit odd than the rest of Kadazan's slang like the Penampang and because my maternal grandma is from the Dusun community, my Kadazan-Dusun language has always been on the broken side. I mean I can mix Kadazan and Dusun language in one phrase like it is normal, and it does felt normal to me. I speak in Bahasan with mom and only use KaDus language when we were gossiping about the rest of the family member - since only mom and I could understanf KaDus language within the 6 of us.

Boyfriend asked me: "why would you want to display your personal matters, views, opinions, suggestion and all your personal shizz on the net? I know you don't see people on the screen but that doesn't mean the net is not a public space. you know."
I know the internet is a public space. Or else, why would the ever amazing Sir Tim Berners-Lee call it the World Wide Web? I am blogging for fun and since I don't have many close friends, why not make many friends?

So do comments and give feedbacks, rates or even sharing my blog is lovely and is an act of kindness. I'll be asking my lucky star to bless you some lucky sprinkles on you too!
